Bernard Smith Consulting Engineers provide a Pre-Acquisition Report service for both existing and prospective owners/tenants. These reports are a professional evaluation of the condition and performance of installed building services systems.
Defects Analysis Reports
A Defects Analysis Report is furnished after the investigation into a specific defect, or problem relating to the mechanical or electrical services of a building such as: Heating Systems, Air-Conditioning Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Emergency Lighting, and Power Distribution Boards. The report identifies the cause of the defect, and outlines the remedial actions required to eliminate the defect.
We have extensive experience in preparing reports relating to the mechanical and electrical services for insurance companies following an incident at a property. We carefully examine the proposed cause of the incident, taking into consideration: the condition of the building services system(s), the intent for the original design and any other factors which may have had an impact at the time of the incident. A report is concluded, which outlines our findings, and offers our professional opinion on the cause of the incident.
